Touch Down Clean-up Week for Earth Day Inspired Squirrel Hill NFL Draft Redd Up!

Volunteers can participate in Touchdown Clean-Up Week from Friday, April 17, through Friday, April 24, with flexible group or individual clean-ups throughout the week. We’ll also host a community in-person clean-up event on Sunday, April 19, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM, meeting at the corner of Forbes and Murray. Come pause, breathe, and reconnect in the midst of long, often challenging work as social justice practitioners or advocates. This event provides a restorative community space for collective care, connection, regulation, and trust to replenish and continue sustaining this important work. All are welcome!

Preserving, Improving, and Celebrating the Quality of Life in Squirrel Hill

For over fifty years, the Coalition has been an active and important link in the community. It has served as a sounding board for new ideas, as well as a “watchdog” in the areas of public safety, education, residential quality, the business district, and parks and open space. With its focus on the quality of life in the 14th Ward, SHUC continues to monitor activities and future developments in the community through a range of standing committees.
