Squirrel Hill Clean Sweep Week
Apr 22, 2022 - May 1, 2022
Help Squirrel Hill come out of the pandemic looking fresh and clean! As mother nature renders her bountiful spring colors to us all!
In addition to a large gathering for our usual annual Community Clean Up on Sunday, April 24 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, the Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition’s Litter Patrol invites you, your family, and friends to remove litter from a block (or more) of your choosing between April 22 and May 1.
We are conducting a hybrid format this year. Register for a clean up here.
Sunday, April 24: Come to the corner of Forbes and Murray and spend some time that morning picking up litter in our neighborhood. We’ll provide bags, safety vests, and gloves. Please bring your own water bottle.
Friday, April 22 through Sunday, May 1: Choose a block (or more) where you live, a block in your favorite park, the block where you walk your dog, or a block that needs a little Tender Loving Care. You decide the day and time between April 22 and May 1 that is convenient for you. You can pick up supplies on Sunday (4/24) or provide your own.
Enter our Photo Competition. You are encouraged to take cleanup photos and submit them to info@shuc.org. Send cleanup photos to info@shuc.org for a chance to win local merchant gift cards! Winners will be announced shortly after May 1.
