We invite our neighbors to join us for social distancing porch parties every Sunday throughout the month of May and the first week of June! This Sunday, June 7 @ 12:30 pm Games Unlimited is partnering with SHUC for Cartographers – A Family Game Event! It is the series finale! Please sign up for the Cartographers Family Game Event in advance via Eventbrite. That will get you access to the ZOOM Event and game playing card (also see below) which you will need to play the game. It might take a few minutes for us to let participants into the waiting room and/or for the Zoom to go live. Your patience is very much appreciated! Thank you to Games Unlimited! There will also be a replay for you to access and play the game again.
Details for the Games Unlimited Event: Cartographers is a quick playing game where you get to draw your own map. Place cities, fields, rivers, and more to get the most points. It is one of the three finalists this year for the prestigious German “Game of the Year” award and you can play it, virtually, with your neighbors and Games Unlimited! All you’ll need is a pencil, a print out of the provided player sheet (one per player), and a willingness to learn how to have fun with map-making! A rules explanation and complete play of the game will take 45-60 minutes.
A special thanks to Sunburst School of Music, Ethan and Alex for last week’s fun Sing-A-Long. Here is the Sunday Sing-A-Long Replay in case you missed it. We thank all of our partners and neighbors for your support. Enjoy!
Please follow social distancing guidelines as we go from yellow to green. We hope that you can join us!

Preserving, Improving, and Celebrating the Quality of Life in Squirrel Hill
For over fifty years, the Coalition has been an active and important link in the community. It has served as a sounding board for new ideas, as well as a “watchdog” in the areas of public safety, education, residential quality, the business district, and parks and open space. With its focus on the quality of life in the 14th Ward, SHUC continues to monitor activities and future developments in the community through a range of standing committees.
