Throughout the stay-at-home order, SHUC hosted weekly porch parties to help Squirrel Hill residents connect with their neighbors from a safe distance. Our porch party series is now over, but here are some highlights:
We had a blast playing Cartographers with Kylie Prymus from Games Unlimited! Kylie is an expert on all kinds of games and does a fantastic job explaining them. To watch the video of our event and learn how to play Cartographers, click on the image above! The rules for Cartographers are available online here, and the game uses the sheet below.
Games Unlimited is now open for curbside pickup and is offering free virtual consultations to help you pick out games!
Thanks to the Sunburst School of Music, Squirrel Hill residents were able to sing some of our favorite songs together (including, of course, “Won’t You Be My Neighbor”) while remaining safely on our own porches (video available here).
Sunburst is currently offering virtual music lessons so you or your child can learn music from home!
While we unfortunately had to cancel our yoga porch party due to technical difficulties, those who signed up were still given access to yoga videos from I Am Yoga that they could follow along with from home!
If you like the yoga videos, I Am Yoga is continuing to offer virtual classes as they determine how to safely reopen their studio.
