Squirrel Hill Wears Masks!


During this pandemic, it is more important than ever for us to be kind neighbors and take precautions to avoid spreading the coronavirus. One easy way to protect your neighbors is by wearing a mask in public places, as so many of us are doing here in Squirrel Hill!

The CDC “recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies) especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.” The CDC discourages the use of surgical or N-95 masks, which need to be reserved for healthcare workers.

According to Pennsylvania’s Department of Health, masks should always be worn when:

As important as it is to wear a mask, it’s not enough to protect our community from COVID-19! To be a kind neighbor, please continue to wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your face, and practice social distancing when possible.
