The Friendship Circle of Pittsburgh Opens Doors of New Location


FC jpgThe Friendship Circle’s new building will open its doors to the public this Sunday, September 11th from 1 PM – 3 PM.

WHAT: Is hosting a Grand Opening event to celebrate the completion of their new facility

WHERE: 1922 Murray Avenue, Pittsburgh

WHEN: 1 PM -3 PM (Ribbon cutting at 2 PM outside of grand entrance)

ABOUT: This August marked the three-year anniversary of The Friendship Circle’s purchase of the old Gullifty’s restaurant in Squirrel Hill. Renovations were completed in early 2016 and staff began transitioning into the new facility in March. The building has been in a “soft opening” throughout the summer and plans to open its doors to the public this Sunday, September 11th from 1 PM – 3 PM.

It has served as a sounding board for new ideas, as well as a “watchdog” in the areas of public safety, education, residential quality, the business district, and parks and open space. With its focus on the quality of life in the 14th Ward, SHUC continues to monitor activities and future developments in the community through a range of standing committees.
