ROCK THE BLOCK in Squirrel Hill!

Rock The Block is an outdoor market and music festival in the heart of the Squirrel Hill business district, Saturday, October 15th from 5-10 PM on Murray Avenue.  Two blocks will be closed down for a street festival featuring 40 local Squirrel Hill businesses and restaurants, food trucks, and artists from I Made It! Market, selling an array of merchandise including clothing, jewelry, art, gifts, and wellness products.

 

The fun starts at 5:00 PM with a wellness fair hosted by Pitt Pharmacy School, followed by live music on stage at the corner of Darlington Rd. and Murray Avenue. Featuring three of Pittsburgh’s best local bands:

 

7PM: East End Mile

8 PM: Emerson Jay

9 PM: Nevada Color

 

Don’t forget to check out these great events:


* 50 local vendors from neighborhood businesses, student organizations from the University of Pittsburgh, and artists from I Made It! Market, selling an array of merchandise including clothing, gifts, art, and wellness products

 

* A mobile immunization clinic hosted by Giant Eagle — most insurances accepted!

 

*An outdoor fitness class presented by Pure Barre, a Zumba demonstration, wellness screenings, on-site dieticians, and more!

* Food: offerings from your favorite Squirrel Hill restaurants, including Aiello’s Pizza and Squirrel Hill Sports Bar, and food trucks Pgh Crepes,PGH Pierogi Truck, COOL BEANS FOOD TRUCK, and more

 

* Beer: bracelets will be available for purchase for those 21+ for $5 to benefit Uncover Squirrel Hill, Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition, and the American Diabetes Association
