Lunar New Year 2020

Happy Lunar New Year!

Squirrel Hill celebrated the Year of the Rat this year with a few Lunar New Year events!

The 5th Annual Pittsburgh Community Lunar New Year Cultural Festival at St. Edmunds Academy featured music, lion dancing, martial arts, taiko drumming, and other cultural performances alongside arts and crafts activities and delicious food!

Squirrel Hill also hosted a Lunar New Year parade with performances from many cultural groups! Groups from several Squirrel Hill schools, including Allderdice, Minadeo, and Linden, participated in the parade.

With its focus on the quality of life in the 14th Ward, SHUC continues to monitor activities and future developments in the community through a range of standing committees.
