Strassburger for his tireless commitment to social justice and service as a voice for the voiceless; and John Katz, for his ongoing devotion to ensuring Squirrel Hill is a vibrant, beautiful place to live, work, and play. The 2017 Place Treasure is The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh for their more than 100 years of dedication to improving the quality of life for children, young people, and their families and providing a safe and nurturing environment for them to reach their full potential.
