Free Massages from Eclectic Remedies While You Shop

christinaAre you feeling tense thinking about your holiday to-do lists? You’ll want to meet this neighbor.

Christina Skinner is the owner and practitioner Eclectic Remedies. At the age of 14, she received a massage after a 5k race, giving her a new appreciation for therapeutic massage and the idea to pursue it as a career. Years later, she attended the Career Training Academy and received her associate degree in Advanced Body Works. After 3 years in the field, she decided to expand her career even further by attending The Fountain of Youth Academy of Cosmetology where she become an Esthetician. Now with 7 years of massage and 4 years of esthetics under her belt, she has opened her own studio in Regent Square.

Christina has extensive training in a variety of massage modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, medical massage, and stretching techniques. She has also been trained in various skin care and cosmetic lines.

Christina is not only dedicated to her craft, but is always energetic and passionate about her career. Helping people feel good inside and out is truly her calling. That’s why she reached out to Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition and offered to provide free chair massages during the Shop with SHUC event!

Come out to Ten Thousand Villages on Forbes Avenue between 6 and 8pm on Monday, December 5, and you can enjoy a mini-massage. Click here to find out more about this chance to shop for a cause.

For over fifty years, the Coalition has been an active and important link in the community. It has served as a sounding board for new ideas, as well as a “watchdog” in the areas of public safety, education, residential quality, the business district, and parks and open space. With its focus on the quality of life in the 14th Ward, SHUC continues to monitor activities and future developments in the community through a range of standing committees.
