Parents of children in the 14th Ward can choose from a broad array of educational options, both in the public and the private school sector. Many of these public, private and religious options are located in Squirrel Hill or Point Breeze or are within an easy drive. Geneva College A private Christian college of liberal arts and sciences located in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, 35 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. Student body enrollment is a little over 2000.
Grove City College Since its founding in 1876, Grove City College, provides a high-quality liberal and professional education with an emphasis on Christian principals.
Indiana University of Pennsylvania IUP, the smallest BIG public university in Pennsylvania, is located northeast of Pittsburgh in Indiana,Pennsylvania. Known affectionately as a “Public Ivy” school, IUP is has three campuses and an annual enrollment of 14,000.
